St. Francis lived in the 13th century. He was brought up in wealth, but later founded the Franciscan order of monks, devoting himself to a simple life of service and prayer. His many writings reveal a man who was at one with nature, and who appreciated the role of animals in the world, an anormality for his time and culture. In the spirit of this unique person of God, this page is dedicated to various humanitarian and anti-cruelty sites and movements throughout the web.

Stop the Violence!!

What is man without the beasts? If all the beasts were gone, men would die from great loneliness of spirit. For whatever happens to the beasts happens to man. All things are connected.
