performed by the
Lyric Opera of San Antonio
on August 17 and 19, 2001.

Amy Cofield sang the title role of Violetta.

Violetta's courtesan friend, Flora,
was sung by Bonnie Victor-Fried.

George Cortez sang the role of Gastone,
who led the gypsy and matador "games" in the second act.

Timothy Jones was the doctor.
(Notice the fancy chair -
it was part of the antique furniture used in the production
- total value $20,000!)

June Golveo sang the part Annina,
Violetta's maid, a very serious role.

Thomas Rinn played the Marchese d'Obigny
and Robert Avrett played Baron Douphol.
They are shown here in a candid moment with Flora,
(who is just playing!)

Not pictured are Patrick Miller
who sang the part of Alfredo, Violetta's lover,
and William Rhodes, who sang Giorgio Germont,
Alfredo's father.
I just couldn't catch up with those two!
